Job Description

We are looking to hire highly-skilled and dedicated Advanced Care Paramedics to join our team in British Columbia. Successful candidates will provide advanced medical care in emergency and non-emergency situations; responding to medical incidents, providing advanced life support, and ensuring patient safety during transportation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Mentoring, training, and leading field staff to achieve overall corporate goals and objectives; supporting a healthy and safe work environment
Conducting safety meetings and hazard assessments
Working collaboratively and building rapport with onsite representatives, staff, and other healthcare professionals, including EMTs, paramedics, nurses, and doctors
Maintaining equipment and inventory; and assisting/instructing others in how to safely transport patients to medical facilities; ensuring ongoing monitoring and care during transit
Regularly inspecting, maintaining, and restocking medical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for emergency situations
Accurately documenting patient information, inventories, medical interventions, and outcomes in compliance with company protocols and legal requirements
Operating company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
Qualifications

Valid medical certification as an Advanced Care Paramedic from a recognized provincial licensing body in both Alberta and British Columbia
Previous experience as a paramedic, with knowledge of federal and provincial regulations regarding health services
Unrestricted Class 4 driver’s license for the use of ambulances; Class 5 driver’s Licence for MTC or ETV
Current Health Care Provider (HCP) CPR, BLS certifications
Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
ACP experience in the industry / oil and gas sector is considered an asset
Valid H2S Alive Certificate (Energy Canada) and Valid First Aid Ticket Level C
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with minimal supervision
Demonstrates clear judgement in fast-paced and high stress environments
Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
Physically fit to perform demanding tasks of the job, including lifting and carrying patients and equipment.
