MAINTENANCE COORDINATORS - Work Hard, Play Hard!

Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals is accepting resumes for an EXPERIENCED Maintenance Coordinator for a safety-sensitive position on a 14/14 rotation within our worksites in the Fort McMurray (Wood Buffalo) Region that is motivated, committed and wants to grow with us.

Maintenance Coordinators are responsible for a variety of tasks related to maintaining and improving company equipment. Responsibilities include implementing preventative maintenance, liaising with service providers and the Maintenance Team and performing regular inspections of supplies. The Job

The Maintenance Coordinator will be required to work 12.5 hour days on a 14 on and 14 off rotating schedule, alternate sets between days and nights. The ability to access the mine site is mandatory.

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be expected to:

Review the upcoming week’s schedule with your Supervisor
Hold and lead the daily Maintenance meeting
Document all equipment movement to and from the yard
Work with Planning & Scheduling Department to capture all work history
Confirm all required paperwork is correct and complete when submitted
Build and manage work packages
Coordinate all required work by vendors
Manage and order all required parts for break-in work
Update the up/down list as per unit job status
Work with Supervisor to manage the shop workflow
What We Need From YOU:

A desire to make a difference and take pride in your work
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, particularly with dozers, haul trucks, shovels and excavators of all major brands such as CAT, John Deere, Hitachi, Komatsu
Construction and mining experience preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
Collaborative communication style
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical strength (ability to lift and manage 50 pounds)
Excellent Customer Service skills
Leadership experience recommended
Proficiency in Excel

Provide a minimum of a Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
Provide a criminal record check
Complete drug and alcohol screening with a negative result
Complete a fitness evaluation related specifically to your position
Provide copies of current certifications (if you do not have any of the training required to be on site, we will provide it for you)
