Full job description
We are seeking Access Mat / Swamp Mat Loader Operators to join our team.
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Overview:
Operators will be responsible for operating equipment safely for the installation and services of all access matting projects.

This position’s direct supervisor will be the Operations Manager and the Dispatch Coordinator, and while on-site will report to the Field Supervisor.

Major Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain matting installation and service equipment
Keep equipment clean and complete routine maintenance, reporting to the Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury and/or property damage
Report all incidents and near misses to the supervisor immediately.
Travel as required to project sites
Fill in appropriate field paperwork as required
Repair mats during slow times
Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience with heavy equipment operation is required (i.e. Loaders)
2+ years’ experience in the access matting industry is required
Flexible schedule with a willingness to work overtime
Commitment to safe working practices
Be prepared to work in all weather conditions and be prepared for both extreme heat and cold.
Ability to work as a team member and communicate with coworkers.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Valid Safety Tickets

Successfully pass a drug and alcohol test
Successfully pass an audiometric hearing test
H2S Alive
Standard First Aid - Level C
