Job Description

Benefits & Compliance Manager

As the Benefits & Compliance Manager for Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will play an integral role as the within the T&C department. Your attention to detail, computer savvy skills, and exceptional service to our internal guests will be the cornerstone of the department along with providing the necessary support to all hotel departments, colleagues and leaders.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service;
Oversees and manages all Short Term Disability (STD) and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) claims;
Manages all Leave of Absence (LOA) and Bereavement processes;
Facilities the Alberta Health Care (AHC) application submission process;
Coordinates the Maternity leave process with colleagues;
Department Health and Safety representative;
Process and facilitate payment of invoices arising from benefit agencies;
Facilities and manages the WCB process (any follow up necessary & modified duty information);
Provide Health & Safety stats as needed;
Implement new audit / control processes for T&C procedures
Audit operational processes in T&C administration and ensure they are compliant
Assist the T&C administration team with the implementation and utilization of new Dayforce procedures
Assist the Director and Assistant Director, T&C to complete SAQ and T&C audits throughout the year.
Create SOPs where needed and ensuring all SOP are updated as needed;
Follow departmental policies and procedures;
Assist when needed with departmental task;
Assist with internal colleague functions;
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous human resources or operational leaders experience, at least two years, within a similar establishment is required
Hotel experience is an asset
Computer literate and excellent skills with all Microsoft Window applications required
Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
University/College degree or diploma in a related discipline is preferred
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a very busy environment
Previous experience with HRIS/HR Manager systems, Time & Attendance Enterprise, Dayforce and Ceridian InSync is an asset
Organized, energetic, innovative and passionate about Human Resources and hospitality
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
