Position Overview: Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) as we have several openings that we are looking to fill throughout Canada. This on-site role involves working with medical professionals and patients to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

What you will bring to the role:

College diploma or University degree in Medical Radiation Technology, or equivalent education and/or experience.
CAMRT registered and in good standing.
Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail who demonstrates curiosity.
Ensure the radiology equipment and auxiliary equipment function correctly and are maintained properly.
Follow documented safe operating procedures for the equipment.
Practices effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable.
Handle all personal information and all personal health information according to the appropriate governing privacy legislation.
Perform quality assurance and quality control activities according to equipment manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable industry standards.
Ensure all images are saved and filed in the appropriate medical record.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor..
Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of recent, Canadian, MRT experience.
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
Other Qualifications:

TB test current to the last 5-years
Valid FIT Test
Valid BLS certificate
