Position Overview
The Retail Store Key Holder, under the direction of the Retail Supervisor/Assistant Retail Supervisor, will primarily be responsible to support departmental activities and operations. The incumbent will provide coverage for the Retail Supervisor/Assistant Retail Supervisor as needed. This position will greet and assist customers while describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship.
This is a full time, year-round role, 5/7 days a week.
Alberta Employment Standards regarding probationary periods apply.

Qualifications
Previous Point-of-Sales and customer service experience
Retail experience preferred
Supervisory experience an asset.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a manner modelling exemplary conduct to other staff, including demonstrating add-on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship
Lead by example to build department commitment to high standards of service
Encourage a positive team atmosphere enabling the team to meet or exceed sales goals and achieve consistently high levels of customer service
Ensure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution
Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
Train employees in company sales techniques and knowledge of product range
Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating professionally, and to set a positive example for your team
Gain a good working knowledge of back office procedures including purchase orders, invoicing, and creating new items in the POS system.
Support store operational activities including product ticketing, shipping and receiving, product flow, floor change-outs, sales and markdowns, and store up-keep
Supervise the activities of other sales representatives
Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
Provide feedback to the Head of Retail on employee performance.
