Front Desk Supervisor 
Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre - Jasper, AB 
$19 an hour 
The Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre Jasper is looking for a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor.
This position is responsible for maintaining an effective Front Office operation to ensure quick and efficient guest registration and checkout, and to provide courteous response to guest requests. Assist to direct all operations of front office, service desk and security.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1. Providing courteous guest service and responding to guest questions, complaints or requests.
2. Orienting and training of Front Office personnel.
3. Ensuring that supervised personnel are provided with adequate supplies and equipment in good repair for the accomplishment of their assigned duties.
4. Providing timely and responsive service to all other departments through coordinated weekly forecasting, good communications, etc.
5. Developing and maintaining work schedules for all supervised staff.
6. Ensuring a proper room allocation.
7. Ordering and preparing Ski Tickets in the winter season
8. Maintaining and supervising the concierge desk and brochure inventory.
9. Maintaining labor cost goals established by the Sawridge Corporation.
10. Maintaining timely and accurate files, reservations, room availability calendar and taking necessary action to open or close room availability on the computer with Revenue Manager's approval.
11. Assisting supervised staff in their job performance during peak activity periods or as required.
12. Maintaining proper credit and accounting procedures and taking appropriate timely action as necessary.
13. Maintaining an image of competence and professionalism to guests, employees and management.
14. Maintaining proper employee/employer relations and addressing any question in a timely and open manner, including disciplinary actions and recognition.
15. Auditing and accounting for all guest checks and folios issued.
16. Performs other duties as required.
17. Insures compliance with established company policies and procedures.
18. Works closely with other hotel personnel to promptly respond to guest requests or problems to insure their satisfaction.
Skills/Experience Required
Job Qualifications: 
* A "people person" with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
* A dedicated customer service professional that is committed to the highest quality standards
* Background in Guest Services/Front Desk required, with previous supervisory skills including strong follow-up and attention to details.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, as well as Internet systems and preferably be familiar with Opera
* Must be a self-starter with demonstrated leadership ability and team motivation skills
* A passion for Guest Services and the proven ability for consistently anticipating guest needs.
* Must be flexible to work as business levels dictate (shift work).
* Sound decision making and problem solving skills, a take charge type of person.
* Be goal-oriented, driven, and passionate about exceeding guests' expectations.
Wage: $19/hr
