Full job description
We are a seasonal property with positions starting May 9, 2024 until October 14, 2024.

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a seasonal Gift Shop Sales Associate at our lodge in the Canadian Rockies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with purchases, and maintaining the appearance of the gift shop.


Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers visitors to our lodge in the gift shop
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
Provide information about products and services
Process sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments including returns of merchandise
Stock and display merchandise under direction of manager
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
Cross sell and cross promote hotel and restaurant products and services

Requirements:

Strong customer service skills
Experience in retail sales is an asset
Hands-on experience with POS transactions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25lbs

Compensation:

Wage: $17/hr plus commissions (vary from 2% - 5%) .
Staff accommodation is available for employees over the age of 18 at $4.41 per day.
Bonus: If contract is completed you will receive your rent returned.
Referral Bonus: $500 if both yours and your referrals contract are completed.
