Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our 52-room hotel in the Canadian Rockies. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, oversee staff schedules, manage inventory, and uphold our commitment to exceptional guest satisfaction. The lodge is in a very busy remote location and the cabins are outside with lots of walking each day.


Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of 8 housekeeping staff members, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures.
Quality Assurance: Maintain and elevate cleanliness standards to exceed guest expectations. Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness benchmarks.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely supply deliveries.
Scheduling and Coordination: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while optimizing efficiency. Coordinate with other departments for seamless guest services.
Guest Relations: Address guest concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with front desk and management to ensure guest satisfaction.
Training and Development: Conduct ongoing training sessions to improve staff performance, ensure compliance with safety standards, and enhance skills.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a housekeeping role or 1 year leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel setting.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve issues promptly while maintaining a positive attitude.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Compensation:

Staff accommodation is available for employees over the age of 18 at $4.41 per day.
Bonus: If contract is completed you will receive your rent back.
Referral Bonus: $500 if both yours and your referrals contract are completed.
