Job Description

Front Office Supervisor

Providing engaging, sincere, personalized service is one of the ways our Front Office Colleagues are turning moments into memories at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Provide day to day operational and managerial support for Front Desk, Royal Service and Tours department and ensure all service standards are followed
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Assist in the on boarding of new colleagues and provide initial and continuous training
Train, inspire, develop, and recognize Front Office division colleagues including Front Office, Royal Service and Tours.
Ensure accurate billing is completed upon guest departure
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Active member of assigned committee
Complete blocking when required
Ensure training manuals and SOP’s are updated are a regular basis
Responsible for the tracking and ordering of Front Office supplies
Support Company and Hotel policies and procedures including promoting and participation in Colleague Engagement Survey (CES), Fairmont Standards which include LQA, Health and Safety, and Voice of the Guest (VOG) initiatives
Work closely with Front Office, Reservations, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering and other departmental managers to develop ways to improve current practices to ensure excellent delivery of guest service
Driving GOP through meeting or exceeding the upgrade and walk in goals
Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required
Minimum of 1 year previous proven guest services experience
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
Knowledge of Property Management System an asset
Experience with a Hotel loyalty program an asset
Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and guest requests
Passion for guest service
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
Fluency in English
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Your team and working environment:

Sitting: 5-8 hrs/day
Walking: 1-5 hrs/day
Standing: 1-5 hrs/day
Bending/Reaching: 0-3 hrs/day
Pushing/Pulling: 0-3 hrs/day
Physical effort: low, required to lift up to 30lbs
Environmental stress: busy atmosphere
