RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare section for meal serviceGreet and seat guestsMaintain a friendly and outgoing attitude at all timesTake and serve drink and food ordersDescribe menu items including daily specials for guestsAnswer guests' questions regarding our menu, and make recommendationsPresent, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware; describe and advise on wine selectionDiscuss and refer guest complaints in an effective manner with SupervisorRecord all ordersPresent check to guests and collect paymentClear and clean tables, trays and chairs
REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS:
Alberta ProServe CertifiedGrade 12 diploma or equivalentMust be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages in Alberta3 – 6 months experience preferredNeat and clean in appearance and work habitsPleasing, outgoing personalityKnowledge of languages is considered an assetAbility to accept directionSolid understanding of guest service principlesGood knowledge of wine, beer and liquor serviceAbility to work within a team
