Job Title: Bar Manager

Location: Jasper, Alberta

Join the excitement at The WickedCup Bar, Jasper's newest hotspot! We're expanding our beloved restaurant with a stylish bar, set to open this summer. We're seeking an experienced and certified Bar Manager to lead our bar operations and integrate seamlessly with our established restaurant.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage daily bar operations, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction
Collaborate closely with our Restaurant Manager for cohesive dining and drinking experiences
Train and lead bar staff in mixology techniques and customer service
Manage bar inventory, suppliers, and control costs effectively
Ensure bar's compliance with Alberta's health, safety, and liquor regulations
Handle customer feedback and maintain our reputation for excellence
Assist in organizing events that showcase both our bar and restaurant
Other tasks as assigned

Valid Class 5 driver's license, if applicable
Stand, bend, kneel for long periods
Lift, push, pull 50lbs

Requirements:
Valid work visa/permit, permanent residence status, or Canadian citizenship
Does not require sponsorship
Criminal Record Check
3+ years bartending OR 1+ years in bar management, preferably in a restaurant-bar setting
Mixology certification (required)
Extensive knowledge of spirits, classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, and local/craft beers
Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training and development
Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software
Valid ProServe/ProTect certification (Alberta's liquor service training)
Understanding of food and drink pairings a plus
Passionate about creating a bar program that shines alongside our restaurant
Skilled in crafting unique cocktails that tell a story
Enjoys the vibrant, tourist-driven atmosphere of Jasper
Adaptable team player who thrives in a bustling restaurant-bar environment
