The Evergreens Foundation is a not-for-profit housing management body proudly supporting independent housing in Alberta. We aim to facilitate quality of life for all our residents, through our multiple senior and social housing facilities located in Hinton, Jasper, Edson, Grade Cache, Evansburg. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Social Housing Manager who is looking to make a difference in the lives of seniors while being a part of a passionate and talented team. This position is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and maintain the application process.
Schedule and follow required procedures for tenant move-ins and move-outs.
Ensure tenant compliance with legislation, policies & procedures.
Schedule and implement quarterly fire drills.
Respond to tenant/building concerns on a routine and emergency basis.
Establish and maintain contact with local agencies and referral sources.
Hold tenant meetings as required to review policies and procedures related to the operation of the building, emergency situations, tenant conduct and other issues deemed necessary.
Collect rent at the beginning of each month. Make deposits when necessary.
Maintain occupancy in the buildings subject to policies and regulations.
Conduct regular inspections.
Supervise all contractors required at the facility.

Job Requirements 
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR/QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills.
Demonstrates strong administrative, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
Previous administrative experience in a professional environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
A friendly personality with a professional manner.
Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with tenants, applicants, family members, employees, contractors, and visitors.
Be self-directed, adaptable, and flexible to the daily changes that occur.
NOTE: The successful candidate must have a clear a Vulnerable Sector Check.
