Job Title: Night Auditor

Reports to: Front Desk Manager

Position Overview:

The Night Audit position is responsible for ensuring all transactions are balanced for the day and completing necessary spreadsheets for accounting. This position handles all guest service and front desk duties.


Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming guests to our hotel and provide the best check in experience possible;
Promoting and selling guests rooms over the phone when making reservations or through personal contact;
Balancing daily transactions;
Working closely with housekeeping and the sales department in providing an outstanding service to our guests;
Monitoring room reservations and inventory online and at the hotel level;
Completing night audit – balancing all transactions for the day;
Handling phone enquiries;
Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Outgoing and welcoming personality;
Able to communicate with a wide variety of people;
Committed to providing excellent service;
Able to maintain a positive attitude and motivate other team members;
W.H.M.I.S. certification is an asset;
Energetic, flexible, reliable, respectful, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity;
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment;
Excellent organizational, communication and people skills;
Good PC skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and knowledge of WebRezPro is preferred, but not necessary.

Requirements:

At least 1 year of previous hotel or customer service experience;
Exceptional people skills;
Strong English communication skills;
Minimum education of High School Diploma;
Excellent computer and technical skills;
Ability to work overnights;
Legal ability to work in Canada. We are unable to offer LMIA.

WORKING CONDITIONS:


The incumbent may work a variety of shifts. Occasionally, a requirement may arise to work overtime based on occupancy and staffing levels.

Work location is on-site.


Physical Demands – This is a physically demanding role. The incumbent will spend long hours on their feet, lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.


Environmental Conditions - The incumbent will be working with computer screens for long periods of times, working with cleaning chemicals, and will be exposed to the public.


Mental Demands - The incumbent will deal with a fast-paced, high detailed, stressful environment with immediate and last-minute requests for services and assistance.
