What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director, Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Accountable for managing the recruitment processes and strategies for Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
Lead and manage, with a hands on approach, the day-to-day recruitment activities within the Talent & Culture department to ensure the standards are followed in an atmosphere that is fast-paced, high-pressured and efficient
On-going coaching, support and follow-up with department heads and hiring managers on recruitment methods, effective interviewing techniques, departmental interviews and applicable legislation
Lead and coach the Talent Acquisition Team
Actively work with department heads and hiring managers on annual manpower/recruiting/succession strategies and plans
Responsible for ensuring employment equity for all offers of employment
Develop and facilitate recruitment training and workshops to department heads and hiring managers
Accountable for planning content and increasing engagement on social media platforms
Develop and implement effective marketing and advertising to attract potential candidates while building and maintaining relationships with various agencies and hospitality/tourism/culinary/golf schools
Research, plan and participate in recruitment trips to key employment markets and partner schools
Collaborate and work closely with recruiters at sister properties within Canada’s Western Mountain region, as it relates to various recruitment strategies, including the Student Work Experience Program (SWEP)
Analyze and collaborate with Talent Acquisition Advisor to understand and effectively utilize statistical data
Leverage all avenues of immigration and mobility programs to maximize applicant pool
Oversee and assist with the Temporary Foreign Worker program
Manage the recruitment and relocation budget
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Assist colleagues with career development discussions as required
Be an active participant in Talent & Culture and activities or other related matters
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous Human Resources leadership experience preferred
Minimum of two years of recruiting experience or related hospitality hiring and onboarding experience required
Experience recruiting for the hospitality industry is an asset
Experience recruiting in an international market an asset
Experience with government recruitment programs (such as Labour Market Impact Assessment) an asset
Flexibility to meet constantly changing demands of the workplace
Computer literate in Microsoft office applications required
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Strong problem solving abilities and a resourceful orientation
Highly responsible and reliable. Excellent attention to detail is required.
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
