What will be your daily pursuit?:
Supporting an exceptional guest experience by ensuring facilities and grounds meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and sanitization for guests visiting Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon.

What will you do in this job?:
Demonstrate a positive attitude and hospitality safety-first approach
Perform established cleaning duties on a daily basis for all guest and team member areas including staff accommodation common areas
Cleaning duties will include all common area floors, public and staff room washrooms, outdoor areas, windows, along with other daily cleaning assignments for each facility
Keep emergency exits and hallways clear of debris
Ensure cleaning checklists are completed and maintained daily
Maintain garbage collection areas and help facilitate an effective recycling program through proper sorting and storage
Ensure all cleaning supplies stock is adequate and well-organized
Adhere to all WHMIS and other departmental safety requirements and Notify Facilities Supervisor on duty of any safety hazards or concerns
Ensuring the facility grounds areas are maintained and clean throughout the operating day, including shoreline areas and walking paths within our leasehold areas
Daily rounds of the outdoor garbage bins and grounds to pick up trash and proper disposal of refuse
Some general landscaping maintenance including grass cutting, trimming, leaf blowing and raking
During peak cafeteria hours bussing of tables may be required
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Work ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key
Committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a more remote (yet very social) environment
Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds as necessary
Helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile
Relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve balls
A keen attention to detail and lover of organized, clean spaces
A self-starter who works well under low supervision, always looking for things to do and keeping a list of ideas for a slow day
A handy individual who is not afraid to get their hands dirty
Confidence to safely use common lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mower, trimmer and leaf blower
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepare for all season weather (snow, rain, wind, hail)
Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards

Standard First-Aid or higher an asset
