Reports to
Food and Beverage Manager
Position Overview

The Food and Beverage Supervisor will assist the Manager in the daily operation of the department including training and coaching new staff, ensuring all food and beverage policies as well as Marmot Basin’s procedures and policies are followed.
This is a full-time seasonal role, 5 days out of 7 per week. Alberta Employment Standards regarding probationary periods apply.


Qualifications
3-5 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage.
Thrives in a fast paced and high energy work environment.
Great communication skills
Performs hourly job function if necessary.
Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
Capable of inspiring teams to drive quality and performance within the organization.

Motivated and observant; able to perceive needed tasks and complete them without direction
Able to ski/snowboard in varying conditions

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence.
Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees.
Be a positive example for team members
Ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations for the cafeterias, restaurant and special events, including banquets.
Supervise staff and ensure that customer expectations are exceeded at all times
Keep the food and beverage areas clean and maintain exemplary food hygiene practices
Assist with training, and management of staff
Assist with inventory management; oversee proper unpacking of weekly orders, ensuring storage locations are neat and tidy at all times
Able to address customer complaints or issues, and resolve matters as expediently as possible
Oversee food storage and dining areas, ensuring that the facility remains in compliance with safety regulation and health codes
Daily billing and financial responsibilities to be completed accurately and efficiently

Respect and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures as set in the “Corporate Policies”, “Employee Handbook” and “Terrain Park Training Manual”
Understand and adhere to Ski Marmot Basin’s “Harassment Policy” and the company’s “Privacy Policy”.
