CRMR hotels is looking for 2 Maintenance Labourers to join our team in Banff and Lake Louise.

Position: Maintenance Labourer

Report to: Maintenance Manager/Maintenance Assistant Manager/Maintenance Supervisor

Department: Maintenance

Hours: As required

Primary Function: The Maintenance Labourer is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks at our lodge, ensuring the upkeep and smooth operation of the property. This role requires a hands-on approach to building maintenance, repairs, renovations, and groundskeeping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out daily duties assigned by maintenance leadership team.
Perform various building maintenance tasks including drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, tiling, minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
Conduct groundskeeping and snow removal using hand tools and machinery.
Operate equipment safely, such as snow blowers, front-end loaders, and power tools.
Manage shipping and receiving duties, including unloading deliveries and handling waste.
Perform maintenance in guest rooms and respond to related complaints.
Conduct routine property and system checks, reporting any issues.
Handle chemicals safely for maintenance purposes (e.g., hot tub, sewage plant).
Drive the guest shuttle outside of Bell hours if needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop and adhere to safety protocols.
Wear appropriate PPE and follow the CRMR Employee Handbook and grooming policies.
Record daily tasks and participate in safety meetings as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance manager.
Requirements/Experience:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
Skills in electrical, plumbing, or tiling are advantageous.
Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and troubleshoot problems.
Commitment to safety standards and learning new skills (firefighting equipment, chemical handling, etc.).
Capability to work in various weather conditions and shift patterns.
Ability to work independently and handle physical demands such as lifting (up to 80 pounds) and climbing ladders.
