The Maintenance Worker is responsible for a variety of tasks within any areas of the Hotel. Maintenance Workers have to take care of the building, its equipment and its surroundings. The Maintenance Worker must ensure hotel quality and guest satisfaction at all times and assist guests whenever possible with a positive and cooperative attitude and a SMILE .
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 
· Operations and maintenance of the pool and hot tub areas
· Maintenance and inspection of the building and equipment within it including but not limited to: guest rooms, common and public areas, mechanical and electrical rooms, storage rooms etc.
· Maintenance, landscaping and cleanliness of the outside area of the Hotel
· Work within a time frame
· Pro-active maintenance and attention to details
· Provide courteous guest services and respond quickly to guest and staff requests
· Responsible to keep the storage rooms organized
· Observe, report and troubleshoot any repairs needed
· Report to work in required uniform and in adherence with the Sawridge Dress Code Policy
· Must be able to work independently and as a team player
· Have Health and Safety in mind at all times and for any job
· Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Chief Engineer or General Manager
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Good command of the English language
· Previous maintenance and construction experience an asset
· Previous pool operation experience an asset
· Some carpentry skills required
· Capable of following verbal and written directions
· Possess good health and physical condition: bending, crouching, kneeling
· Ability to lift 50 lbs or 22 kg
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work within a team concept
· Ability to communicate with guests
· Neat and clean in appearance and work habits
· Computer skills an asset
· Alberta driving license class 5 with clean driver abstract
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour
