Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute six 2 -3hours trips/day; is responsible for overall trip safety for all guests and other staff; and will manage all aspects of trip logistics 5 days/week, including weekends and holidays
- Guide or drive river trips when needed
- Lead and motivate staff; manage staff and complete monthly evaluations for staff
- Hire and train new staff
- Liaise with owners to recommend most efficient staffing levels for the season, review
- Using Ceridian Dayforce, create a schedule for a staff of 50.
- Assist with daily operation and maintenance of rafts, vehicles and other company equipment
- Set sales targets to maximize use of staff and equipment, monitor bookings, make reservations, complete bookings
- Generating reports on business development
- Assist owners in other areas of operations which may include but not limited to: marketing,
HR, budgeting and payroll.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary education
- Valid Class 2S Alberta Driver’s License (or equivalent) with a clean driver’s abstract
- Certified Commercial Class 2 Paddle Whitewater Raft Guide with at least 3 years experience on commercial rivers
- Certified Interpretive Guide with Interpretive Guides Association
- Working knowledge of Zaui software.
- Working knowledge of both PC and Apple computers
- Working knowledge of Pic Thrive and Wherewolf waiver system
- Working knowledge and ability to training others in using Ceridian Dayforce
- Leadership experience
- Eligible raft examiner through Jasper National Park Professional Outfitters Association
- Current certification of Standard First-Aid and Swift Water Rescue 3
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Proficient in written and oral English
