Compensation:
The starting wage for this role is $18.50 per hour.

What will you do in this job?:
As a Glacier View Lodge Hotel Team Lead, you will work with other hotel and Columbia Icefield staff to personalize the guest experience at the Glacier View Lodge (GVL), encouraging guests to refresh and relax in one of the most spectacular locations in the Canadian Rockies. This is a multi-faceted position and can include any, or all, of the following:

Assists Housekeeping team in all areas of daily housekeeping service
Oversees Housekeeping, Host and Front Desk teams in the absence of the Hotel Manager or Supervisor and all other times as required
Inspects the work of housekeepers, hosts and front desk agents to ensure that proper operational standards are met and maintained
Assists the Hotel Manager and Supervisor in maintaining quality control in all areas of the Lodge
Assists the Hotel Manager and Supervisor in the control of stock & inventories of supplies and linens to ensure adequate supply levels are maintained
Works closely with the Hotel Manager to submit rooms for check-in and reports of any room or guest issues
Enforces all company policies and regulations
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, front desk and or hotel operations required
A positive, helpful, team-oriented, inspiring, cooperative attitude to all aspects of the job
Enjoy working autonomously and independently
Current Alberta Pro Serve Certification (Required)
Process information quickly and take initiative to recommend solutions to challenges
Stay cool under pressure by being resilient, adaptable and flexible
Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
Previous cash handling, hotel front desk, hotel night auditing experience, assets
Ability to think outside the box with quick, thoughtful judgement and a positive attitude
Able to perform assigned duties with a high level of attention to detail, speed, consistency, follow through and under minimal supervision
Able to lift 50 pounds (suitcases, laundry bags and mail)
Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Exceptional guest-service skills and a friendly, approachable, interactive nature
Guest service-oriented mindset and highly attentive to detail
Seeking mature, energetic, dependable candidate that is self-motivated with little supervision
Very important: must be flexible to work mornings, evenings or night shifts as required
Meets the Pursuit grooming policies and standards
What will your work environment be like?:
Typically, 5 days on/2 days off
6 days on/1 day off during Peak Periods
No specific days off, can rotate over the weeks and depending on business level
Long Weekends may incur schedule changes
Expect 30 – 50+ hours per week depending on business levels

Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
