Responsibilities:
The Specialist, Revenue Maximization will oversee rate and inventory management of all lodging space in the Banff Jasper Collection consisting of ten properties; two located in Banff, one located on the Icefield Parkway and seven properties in and around Jasper. This position is integral to driving optimal mix of business in all channels to achieve Key Performance Indicators (occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue).

This position reports directly to the Banff Jasper Collection Revenue Manager and requires collaboration with multiple departments within the Banff Jasper Collection and across Pursuit to improve processes, procedures, systems, best practices and communication. A successful candidate will build strong relationships with teams in Operations, Marketing, Sales, Reservations and Information Technology, among others. The Specialist, Revenue Maximization will maintain rates in Maestro for all Banff/Jasper lodging and will be a Maestro “super user”. 
Based on tour performance, allocate hotel block in accordance with year over year demand vs economic trends vs utilization
Input pre-determined price strategies from the Revenue Manager; rate levels, stay restrictions and other tactics, congruent with demand factors and managed through all distribution channels
Assist revenue management department with weekly and month reporting of all key metrics 
Assist Sales, Marketing and Reservations by delivering key statistics when needed 
Compile data from a competitive shop to assist the Revenue Manager in creating week over week rate strategies 
Validate OTA connective through integrated APIs
Create Rate Codes in the property management system for consumer direct qualified rates 
Responsible for communicating all issues and resolutions to Revenue Manager 
Assist on projects related to Maestro or inventory
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience working in the tourism industry, including interacting with large and small tour operators, interacting with industry organizations, and understanding of lodging technology
Knowledge of standard travel industry space blocking practices, commission structures, vendor agreements and inventory control procedures
Proficiency in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office Suites and industry-standard computer software
Ability to work independently, in a team environment and with minimal supervision
Ability to make decisions, solve problems and exercise good judgment; ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
Ability to work closely with all levels of the Banff Jasper Collection staff, management and general public, including professionals and executives from a variety of companies
Superior organization, follow up and detail-oriented skills; must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
Willing to work extended hours, various shifts, holidays and weekends as necessary
Some college preferred
3 years’ work experience; or any combination of education and experience that provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities 
Tourism or hospitality industry experience required
Experience with tourism systems integration required
