Full job description
We are a seasonal property with positions starting May 9, 2024 until October 2024.

As an Order Maker/Cashier at Kitchen @ Sunwapta restaurant, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient order processing. Your responsibilities include taking food orders, processing payments, and coordinating with the kitchen for order preparation.

Your friendly and helpful demeanor contributes to the overall positive experience for our guests.


Key Responsibilities:


Prepare the cashier station before service with a tidy workspace and all the needed tools.
Welcome customers warmly, guide them through the order process, and accurately take their food and drink orders.
Handle payments efficiently and offer customers their receipts promptly.
Coordinate with the kitchen, food runner, and bartender for smooth order preparation.
Assist customers with requests like utensils and water.
Keep the cashier station clean and organized, regularly wiping down equipment.
Balance the cash register and report any issues to the manager.
Collaborate with the team to create a positive and united work atmosphere.

Requirements:


Previous experience in a cashier or order processing role is beneficial.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle cash transactions and use POS systems.
Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
Team player with a positive and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Adaptability Note: Sometimes, our Food Runner/Server, Bartender, and Cashier switch roles to keep things flexible and work together smoothly.


Compensation:


Wage: $15/hour plus tips.
Staff accommodation is available for employees over the age of 18 at $4.41 per day.
Bonus: If contract is completed your rent will be returned.
Referral Bonus: $500 if both yours and your referrals contract are completed.
