What will you do in this job?:
Lead the day-to-day operations while focusing on consistently delivering exceptional guest service standards and increasing sales
Assisting and investing in hiring talent, training, coaching, development and of team members
Lead a team to achieve financial goals: budget, forecast, control menu and labour costs
Proactively lead a time and ensure that customer expectations are exceeded at all times
Keep the food and beverage areas clean and maintain exemplary food hygiene practices
Assist with recruitment, training, and management of staff
Create a culture of empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing exceptional service
Anticipate challenges with a collaborative solution driven strategy that will enhance the performance of the food and beverage operations
Assist with inventory management; oversee proper deliveries, ensuring storage locations are neat and tidy at all times as part of the inventory process, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Able to address customer complaints or issues, and resolve matters as expediently as possible
Oversee food and beverage storage dining areas, ensuring that the facility remains in compliance with safety regulation and health codes
Lead and execute weddings, conferences and signature events; ensure that no detail is missed and the event is delivered flawlessly
Daily billing and financial responsibilities to be completed accurately and efficiently
Preparation of monthly forecasting and reports and assist in the development, implementation and monitoring the budget to maximize revenues.
Participate in the budgeting process – develop, implement and manage the budget, forecast, inventory and operating cost for the various outlets to maximize revenue and manage expenses
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
2 years' in a hotel or restaurant industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory position
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management, POS-Simphony)
Proven creativity and inspiring food and beverages trends and best practices
Proven ability to run multiple-outlets and experience operating multiple systems, training, and staff development operations
Expertise in building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization, particularly with operating, line supervisors, seasonal staff from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Working knowledge of Simphony or similar P.O.S. system is an asset
Ideal candidate would have strong experience across a broad range of food and beverage activities, meetings/events and functions
