Responsibilities 
The Icefield offers a unique experience to live in one of the most scenic parts of the Canadian Rockies. Located 2 hours from Banff and 1 hour from Jasper, the Icefield is a community in itself where you will both live and work. Fully immersed in impressive rugged mountains, you will have the most spectacular backyard imaginable!Previous experience operating heavy construction and snow removal equipment.

The Equipment Operatorplays a critical role in supporting the daily operation of the Glacier Adventure tours. Responsibilities include;
Providing daily maintenance to the ice road and private shuttle road traveled by the Ice Explorer and coaches respectively
Perform snow removal duties as required
Occasionally haul oversize vehicles between the worksite and workshops in Banff/Jasper
Qualifications 
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities: 
Ability to sometimes work in snow, rainy or cold conditions and involves various shifts that typically start early in the morning – flexibility to perform shift work
Previous experience transporting oversize loads via mountain roads and weather conditions
Mature, dependable, self-motivated and able to work independently
Capable of performing demanding physical/manual duties
Enjoy working in a remote yet very social location, outdoor enthusiast nature (preferred)
Clear criminal record check
Valid Class 1 license with Q Air Brake Endorsement (preferred) with clean driver's abstract
Proficient in the operation of the following equipment: Grader, sanding/plow truck, front-end loader, dozer and snow blower
