Job Overview
As an Electrician at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently. 

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for all electrical related trade work at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
Responsible for all high & low voltage distribution and equipment
Responsible for testing and maintaining the fire alarm system
Maintain & repair all automatic control systems
Responsible for street lighting and bulb changing of street lights
Ensure all power tools are in good and safe working conditions
Will have to do installation of new systems as and when required
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all electrical appliances at the LodgeResponsible for the preventive maintenance of equipment pertaining to electrical trade
Will provide “as built” drawings of the electrical systems and update these drawings as changes occur
Will make certain that all work done in the department is in compliance with federal and provincial codes and regulations
Ensure all work orders assigned will be done with the least possible delay, especially where guest comfort is concerned
Responsible to train and assist the shift maintenance persons to carry out their duties in a safe and efficient manner
Other duties as assigned

English Fluency Level required for position

Job Requirements 
Your experience and skills include:

Provincial Journeyperson’s certificate for Province of Alberta required or third of fourth year in the Apprentice program required
Background electrical experience or general knowledge of the trade required
Experience in the service industry in electrical maintenance
High voltage distribution experience an asset
Knowledge of automatic controls required
Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required ( Word, Excel & Power Point )
Valid Alberta driver’s license required    
Excellent communication and organizational skills
