The Stone Peak Restaurant and Lounge has a long standing reputation for providing fresh, delicious and quality Rocky Mountain cuisine.
Located at the Overlander Mountain Lodge in Jasper East Alberta, Canada, The Stone Peak Restaurant has created the destination for this areas casual fine dining experience. We are also proud recipients of the Wine Spectator Award for 9 years in a row. Attention to detail and quality is the focus. The applicant should be prepared to perform all duties in the kitchen and on some nights may be working alone. We are looking for people who think on their own, are self starters and put the guest's needs first. Professionalism, attentiveness, creativity and a strong, well established personality are required for an individual to succeed within this position. As a contributing group member, it will also be necessary to work independently while maintaining your prompt and efficient manner. A calm, pleasant disposition as well as the ability to work well with others is essential. Requirements:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Assist in directing food preparation, in accordance with established standards of quality, quantity control, taste and presentation. *Monitors food storage, wastage, packing and freezing, and the daily delivery of fresh goods. *Knowledgeable in all areas of kitchen operation (vegetables, meat, sauces, and Garde Manger)*Strong interpersonal, team player and excellent communication skills. *Attention to Detail *Must have a minimum of grade 12 education. *Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and shifts and holidays *Knowledgeable of the recent culinary trends and cooking styles. *Minimum 1 year experience as a cook or culinary diploma*Able to work with limited supervision We are located 35 minutes by car East of Jasper, nestled at the edge of Jasper National Park, overlooking the majestic Rocky Mountains.
