Location: Jasper, Alberta Anticipated Start Date: October 2026 Position Type: Full-time, contract, DSP, or shift-work arrangement About the Position Rocky Mountain Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee residential construction projects in Jasper, Alberta. The successful candidate must be highly independent, dependable, and capable of managing all stages of residential construction—from initial site work and foundations through framing, mechanical systems, finishing, inspections, and final turnover. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone with extensive residential construction experience and a strong working knowledge of all major trades. Responsibilities Manage residential construction projects from start to finish Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel Develop and maintain construction schedules Ensure materials, equipment, and trades are scheduled when required Monitor workmanship and confirm work complies with drawings, specifications, building codes, and manufacturer requirements Conduct regular site inspections and address deficiencies promptly Coordinate required inspections with consultants and authorities Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site Track project progress and provide regular updates to company management Identify potential delays or problems and develop practical solutions Review plans and specifications and communicate requirements clearly to trades Maintain quality-control standards throughout construction Assist with material takeoffs, ordering, and site logistics when required Complete deficiency reviews and oversee final project turnover Required Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in residential home construction Strong knowledge of residential construction from excavation and foundation work through final finishing and occupancy Journeyperson certification in at least one recognized construction trade Broad working knowledge of all residential construction trades Previous experience supervising residential construction projects, trades, and subcontractors Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering details Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and quality control Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of applicable building codes and workplace safety requirements Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience managing custom homes or complete residential builds Experience working in Jasper or other national park communities Familiarity with Parks Canada and Municipality of Jasper construction requirements First Aid, WHMIS, and site-safety certifications Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, material procurement, and reporting Employment Options Rocky Mountain Construction is open to discussing different working arrangements with the right candidate, including: Salaried employment Independent contractor arrangement DSP arrangement Shift-work or rotational schedule Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and the agreed-upon working arrangement.
