Job Description

As a dynamic member of the Colleague Services Team, this position plays a key role in supporting the well-being, comfort, and overall experience of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge’s colleagues and residents. The role has a direct and meaningful impact on the satisfaction and quality of life of residents living in colleague accommodation, ensuring they feel welcomed, supported, and connected throughout their stay.

Working closely with the Housing and Lifestyle Operations team and other Resort departments, this position helps create a positive, safe, inclusive, and engaging residential environment that reflects the high standards of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director, Housing and Lifestyle Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional Colleague experience and fostering a positive, engaged, and inclusive colleague culture. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
Deliver exceptional colleague service by providing proactive, and sincere colleague services through an engaged and empowered workforce committed to creating consistent and memorable experiences.
Leading our Colleague Concierge Team including scheduling, coordinating and recruitment
Champion Service Excellence through a visible and approachable presence throughout the Resort, maintaining regular engagement with colleagues and Leaders, while demonstrating a commitment to their overall experience
Develop and coordinate recreational and social programming for colleagues, including outings, leagues, activities, and special events. Ensure programs are inclusive, engaging, well-organized, and aligned with colleague interests and needs
Conduct regular colleague focus groups and engagement sessions to identify colleague needs, gather feedback, and develop initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience
Develop, maintain, and promote a quarterly colleague events calendar highlighting activities, events, and opportunities taking place throughout the Jasper area and surrounding community
Develop and present a comprehensive colleague Experience Strategy, ensuring new colleague are introduced to available programs, services, activities, and resources as part of the orientation and onboarding process
Recruit, train, coordinate, and supervise volunteers who support colleague events, activities, recognition initiatives, and other employee functions
Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers and community partners to support the planning, organization, and delivery of colleague activities, events, and programming
Manage event-related finances, including budgeting, expense tracking, purchase coordination, invoice processing, and vendor payments, ensuring responsible financial management and adherence to Resort policies and procedures.
Work closely with Staff Housing to develop and enhance welcoming, functional, and engaging common areas and shared spaces that support the colleague experience and foster a sense of community
Drive effective colleague communication through a variety of communication channels, including digital platforms, social media, internal communications, signage, events, and face-to-face engagement
Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach by undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of the Resort and its colleagues

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Event Management, minimum of 1 year preferred
Leading and managing a team, minimum of 1 year
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop, and engage a team
Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
A positive presence that is optimistic and works through challenges in a productive and collaborative manner
Change Management – ability to support colleagues to adapt to new processes, expectations, and systems while maintaining a consistently high level of service
Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
Ability to coordinate and develop a reliable network of colleagues and volunteers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to remain calm, flexible, and effective under pressure while managing multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point
Strong social media and digital communication skills with ability to create engaging content through resources like Canva
Strong conflict resolution, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Strong knowledge of Jasper and the surrounding area, services, and community resources is considered an asset
