Job description:

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager is a key role within the finance team that provides financial management services to various U.S, Canadian and International Public Private Partnerships (P3’s). This position supports the finance function in the effective delivery of the obligations and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare annual budgets and board reports for presentation to the Board of Directors;
Oversee full cycle accounting, including debt, distributions, financial instruments, taxes, accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll and other financial processes;
Produce required month end reports within agreed timescales;
Co-ordinate year end audits and liaise with external auditors;
Update financial models and analyze/propose investor distributions amounts;
Ensure compliance with covenants, ratios and other requirements of the Senior Financing documents;
Manage requirements of the project insurance program;
Manage all aspects of Treasury, including administering bank accounts, maximizing interest and managing cash flow;
Act as Company Secretary for the project;
Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state corporate regulations and tax policies;
Develop strong working relationships with the project investors, public sector clients, funders, advisors and Vercity colleagues;
Ensure compliance with contractual documentation and all agreed programs and procedures;
Develop and enforce robust financial controls and risk management practices;
Acts as a mentor and support to junior and intermediate accountants
Act as the senior finance lead in the absence of the Finance Director;
Required:

Minimum 5 years of U.S accounting or finance experience, preferably in infrastructure or P3 environments.
Professional Accounting Designation Required: U.S. CPA preferred, Canadian CPA also accepted. Candidates planning to pursue a U.S. CPA are considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives or board of directors.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, both independently and within a team setting.
Experience working with complex financial structures and multi-stakeholder environments.

Compensation shall commensurate with experience
