The Evergreens Foundation is a not-for-profit housing management body proudly supporting independent housing in Alberta. We aim to facilitate quality of life for all of our residents, through our senior and social housing facilities located in Hinton, Jasper, Edson, Grade Cache, and Evansburg.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Evening Porter who is looking to make a difference in the community while working in a passionate and a talented team. The shift is 4 on 4 off, and hours are from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Reporting to the Lodge Administrator, the Evening Porter will be responsible for:

Clean and maintain designated areas in accordance with procedures and hygiene requirements.
Maintain a clean safe environment.
Actively participate in health and safety initiatives.
Protect the health and safety of you and others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism.
Assist team members with their duties to improve operational efficiencies.
Attend staff meetings and training when required.
Assist with resident social functions when necessary.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR/QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
Demonstrated time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, visitors and fellow employees.
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times.
NOTE: The successful candidate must have a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
