What will you do in this job?:
Partner with the Talent Manager and Talent Specialist in external and internal recruitment processes
Post jobs on company career portal, post-secondary job boards, newspapers, etc.
Key administrator in the company’s applicant tracking system (iCIMS), including supporting Hiring Managers and new team members in their use of the system
Track onboarding progress of new team members
Assist new team members with onboarding questions and pre-arrival concerns
Screen resumes, and assist Talent Team with offer letter writing and tracking
The Administrator may attend job fairs and recruitment events
Work closely with our Payroll team to ensure a timely onboard for new staff
Assist in the overall services of all aspects of Human Resources to ensure we are offering hospitality services to all of our current and potential employees
Submit and track candidate criminal background checks
Opportunity to learn about all aspects of a busy People and Culture office
Improve the staff onboarding experience through communication, implementation of welcome gifts, orientation, coordination of uniforms, and follow up, and exit surveys
Organize training and town hall events for seasonal staff and track attendance
Collaborate with the Learning and Retention Manager to facilitate Hospitality Training and other related programs
Develop a rolling calendar of staff events that is exciting and meaningful to our team members
Forecast, coordinate, and deliver staff events in conjunction with Jasper Lodging Department Heads
Promote events to staff, track attendance and solicit feedback for future improvement
Communicate to the management team the successes and challenges of events with a go forward plan for future years
Promote, coordinate and track participation in community volunteer opportunities, aligning with Pursuit’s Promise to Place initiatives
Develop and implement engagement boosters for the team
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Positive, self-motived, outgoing, organized, and passionate in creating the best possible staff experiences
Strong interpersonal skills
University or College education
People/Human Resources experience an asset
Proven abilities to organize and perform well in a very busy work environment with competing priorities
Clear commitment to continuous improvement, growth and hiring the best
Highly computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail and experience using HRIS
Able to work professionally with confidential information
Energetic, creative, professional, a self-starter with a commitment to follow through
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships and foster cooperation
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
