The Post Hotel & SPA in Lake Louise, Alberta is hiring for a Barista/Bartender to start right away!

Position Overview:

The Barista position at Post Hotel & Spa combines crafting exceptional coffee drinks, serving as a bartender during lunch, and preparing the bar for dinner service. The ideal candidate excels in both coffee and cocktail preparation, delivers outstanding customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano) using high-quality beans and state-of-the-art equipment.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our menu, including seasonal specialties and signature drinks.
Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of all coffee-making and bar equipment.
Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, liquors, and other bar supplies, reporting low stock to management.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to all guests, answering questions about coffee, cocktails, and menu items.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
Serve as bartender during lunch service in the dining room, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Mix and serve drinks according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Stock and prepare the bar for dinner service, ensuring all necessary supplies and garnishes are ready.
Collaborate with kitchen and dining room staff to ensure seamless service.
Assist in training new team members on coffee and cocktail preparation techniques and customer service standards.
Support other food and beverage operations as needed during peak times.
Qualifications

Previous experience as both a barista and bartender, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
In-depth knowledge of coffee, including different roasts, origins, and brewing methods.
Strong mixology skills with knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency in beverage preparation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and holidays.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Serving it right certification is required.
Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures and POS systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively between barista and bartending duties.
