Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals is currently accepting resumes for NEW positions: Project Coordinators in safety-sensitive environments within the Alberta Oil Sands, based in the Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo Region.

Position Details

Rotation: 20 days on / 10 days off OR 14 days on / 14 days off
Daily Hours: 11
Accommodations: Camp provided
Flights: Provided to and from the region

About the Role: Project Coordinator

Project Coordinators support project managers and teams with the administrative and logistical execution of daily operations. You’ll help manage schedules, track progress, coordinate resources, and communicate updates to keep projects running on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and maintain all QA documentation
Track and log concrete testing, piling, and structural installations
Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure documentation compliance
Track materials and associated testing certificates
Maintain daily/weekly reports and meeting minutes
Set up permitting and create as-built manuals
Manage inspections, commissioning, and final sign-offs
What We’re Looking For

A team player who takes pride in their work
Minimum 2 years’ experience in project coordination or project management
Construction or industrial background preferred
Post-secondary education in business, project management, or equivalent experience/certifications
Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Excellent communication – verbal, written, and interpersonal
Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

Provide a Class 5 (Advanced) driver’s license and clean abstract
Provide a criminal record check
Complete drug & alcohol screening (must receive a negative result)
Complete a fitness evaluation specific to the position
Provide any current certifications (training can be provided if needed)
Comply with federal, provincial, and site-specific safety regulations
