Job Overview
Work performed:  

Maintain a clean and safe worksite;
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all small engines; motorized and non-motorized equipment; light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles including Emergency Service Vehicles;
Ensure all vehicles are inspected and maintained in compliance with the Municipality of Jasper’s Fitness Safety Certificate and Safety and Maintenance Programs;
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using manuals, test equipment (i.e., Cummins Insight, Sauer-Danfoss).
Use online services (i.e., ShopKey Pro, Truck Series) to efficiently repair or replace defective parts, components or systems;
Order, purchase, receive, and track costs for parts and supplies as required, following the Municipality of Jasper’s purchasing policy and accounting procedures;
Maintain an inventory of common supplies, parts and components;
Effectively and safely operate all vehicles & mobile equipment owned and operated by the Municipality of Jasper;
Maintain digital and hard copy maintenance files on all vehicles and equipment;
Write service reports;
Interpret work orders and technical manuals;
Engage and participate in Municipality of Jasper safety policies and procedures;
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements 
Qualifications & experience:  Your resume and cover letter must clearly describe how you meet the following qualifications:

Heavy Equipment Technician with a minimum 3 years of experience;
CVIP Technician;
Class 3 Driver’s License with Airbrakes Endorsement;
WHMIS Certification;
Standard First Aid/CPR.
