We are seeking anAssistant Maintenance Manager to support our Maintenance Manager at our established -star hotel in Jasper. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically skilled, and ready to help maintain our property's operations and guest comfort.

Responsibilities:

Support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations and preventive maintenance
Assist with monitoring and maintaining pool and hot tub systems, including chemical balance and equipment
Help coordinate renovation projects and room upgrades
Assist in maintaining critical systems including boilers and HVAC systems
Follow and enforce safety regulations and building codes
Supervise maintenance staff when Maintenance Manager is absent
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records

Work conditions:

Permanent, full-time
In person
Shift work, including nights, holidays, and overtime
Ability to withstand climate conditions, if applicable
Stand, bend, kneel for long periods
Lift, push, pull 50lbs
Comfortable at heights and in confined spaces
Requirements:

Trade certification in plumbing or electrical
4 years maintenance experience
1 year supervisory experience
Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
Experience with basic repairs and maintenance
Strong problem-solving abilities
Fluent English, written and verbal (2nd language an asset)
Current valid work visa/permit, permanent residence status, or Canadian citizenship
Criminal record check
Driver’s abstract & 3-years insurance history
Preferred qualifications:

Additional trade certifications
Pool operation certification (training can be provided)
Previous hotel or hospitality experience
Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking
Additional supervisory experience
