Full Job Description
Position Overview
The Lift Foreman works as part of the Lift Operations team. They are responsible for assisting the Lift Operations Supervisor in training and overseeing employees along with ensuring all lift operations are maintained, equipment is inventoried, and proper lift procedures are executed at all times.

The incumbent should expect to be working outside in any, all and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
This is a full-time seasonal role, 5 days out of 7 per week.

Alberta Employment Standards regarding probationary periods apply.
Qualifications
Ski Industry experience
Previous experience operating surface lifts and aerial chairlifts
Risk management experience
Mechanical background
Physically fit
Capable and willing to work outside, at times in severe weather environment
Valid class 5 driver’s license (or better).

Cheerful, outgoing personality; demonstrated temperament and disposition for highly stressful situations

Motivated and observant; able to perceive needed tasks and complete them without direction
Self-aware; able to identify strengths and gaps in own abilities and training
Able to use taught skills and previous experience to problem solve
Recreational mountain pursuits, such as hiking, rock climbing and ski touring, are considered assets.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

Provide onsite supervision of employees
Assist with training of employees
Have knowledge of and understand all procedures for lift operations and relevant safety codes, procedures and protocols
Point out any safety issues which would put an employee or guest in an unsafe situation; act as required to remedy the situation
Maintain and inventory all lift operations and lift tools
Ensure mazes and ramps are always maintained
Ensure that all start up and shut down procedures are followed and completed at every lift
Report any concerns about lift operator performance to the Lift Operations Supervisor.

Respect and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures as set in the “Corporate Policies”, “Employee Handbook” and “Safety Operations Training Manuals”
Understand and adhere to Ski Marmot Basin’s “Harassment Policy” and the company’s “Privacy Policy”.
