WHAT’S THE JOB?

The project requires an experienced Project Coordinator is responsible assisting in change management, project reporting, subcontractor management, procurement management and technical communications processes on the project.

The position is working on projects around the Jasper, AB area and will require travel to the territory for work.

WHAT YOU DO?

Using quantities provided by the Foreman on the Foreman’s report, records and tracks quantities and updates progress, and schedules.
Aid in Estimation and preparation of change order requests
Reviews specifications and drawings, complete quantity take-offs, obtain quotations and purchases permanent materials.
Aid in the maintenance of the project Lev 3 Gantt schedules
Assists with overall curves, progress scorecards, overall progress reports, progress forecast, work front planning reports, and earned value progress reports
Develop all project planning reporting to ensure accuracy and to identify key information
Coordinate the project Schedule and reviews with the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager/Superintendent.
Aid in the preparation of subcontract RFP’s and material RFQ’s including the development of subcontracted scopes of work.
Effective communication and coordination with project disciplines, construction and Senior Project Engineer.
Aid in ensuring commercial adherence to the Prime Contract, subcontract, material purchase agreement and PO.
Primary contact for Subcontractors with agreements in place and responsible for all commercial elements of onsite materials purchasing and service enlistment once the project has started.
Update and Issuance of project schedule and progress reporting.
Aid in ensuring all approved design changes, constructability issues and vendor issues are addressed through the Request for Information (RFI) process and have been responded to and resolved prior to system turnover activities.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

2+ years industrial and/or pipeline construction experience
Completion of post-secondary education in Engineering
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent business and technical writing skills
Proven team player with the skills and ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
Proactive, self-motivated, problem solver and results-oriented
Ability to handle a heavy workload and work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Experience working with Indigenous-owned organizations
Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
Work Conditions:

15 days on 6 days off, 12-hour shifts
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Note: Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing will be required
