Duties Stream 1 - Budget Officer (AS-02) As a Budget Officer for Jasper Field Unit, you will assist the Financial Officers and Finance and Administration Manager with inputting and maintaining data related to salary expenditures, preparing bi-weekly and monthly reports for presentation and use by decision makers, highlighting areas of concern from preliminary analysis, supporting data integrity, preparing and maintaining budget logs, providing system and procedural advice when the team is developing/improving training and procedures, supporting accounting operations with ongoing monitoring and senior level administrative support, and providing input to and support with special initiatives. Stream 2 - Financial Officer (FI-01) As a Financial Officer for Jasper Field Unit with an annual budget of ~$100M, 350 staff, and $1.3B asset base, you will play an integral part in supporting the Finance and Administration Manager with budgeting, reporting, analysis, and forecasting; and/or accounting operations, policy advice, procedure improvement/development, and asset accounting. Day to day operations involve reporting, analysis and monitoring for coding errors and budget constraints; supporting salary entry, forecasting, and reporting; budget entry and maintenance in the financial system; meetings with budget holders to support data integrity and forecasting; training and procedure improvement/development to promote strong financial comprehension and management; implementation of new systems and policy requirements; and special projects to support key priorities of the Field Unit.
