Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fence Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fences, ensuring safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Fence Installer will work closely with project managers and other trades to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine fencing layouts and specifications.
Prepare the worksite by clearing obstacles, setting up tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Measure and mark fence lines accurately according to project requirements.
Operate hand tools such as hammers, post drivers, levels, and caulking guns to install fences.
Use power tools including drills, saws, and post-hole diggers for cutting, drilling, and assembling fencing materials.
Set posts securely in concrete or other foundations using concrete forming techniques.
Install various fencing materials such as wood, vinyl, chain-link, or ornamental fences.
Ensure proper alignment, height, and spacing of fencing components for aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
Perform finishing tasks such as caulking joints and sealing gaps for weatherproofing.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are properly cared for.
Adhere to safety standards related to heavy equipment operation, electrical safety, and construction site protocols.
Experience

Prior experience in fencing installation or related construction trades is preferred.
Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is highly beneficial.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, or flooring installation is a plus.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as post-hole diggers or mini-excavators is advantageous.
Ability to read construction drawings accurately and estimate materials needed for projects.
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
