Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Cut, assemble, install and sand MDF/Wood Mouldings
Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Install Interior Doors and Railing Systems
Perform tasks such as caulking, sanding, and prep work as required.
Assemble furniture or cabinetry according to specifications.
Collaborate with other construction professionals including electricians/Plumbers for integrated project execution.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Skills

Proficiency in joinery techniques and ensuring accurate installations.
Experience in finish carpentry, cabinetry and railings an asset.
Familiarity with Miter and Table Saws for precise cutting and shaping of materials.
Ability to build various wooden structures with precision.
Skills in panel construction for both functional and decorative purposes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Out of town Work Starting Sept/Oct in Jasper, AB: 1-2 Year Duration
Stay in Hinton, Work in Jasper. $60/day LOA, accomodations provided. 5 Days on, 2 days off OR 10 days on, 4 days off based on work load.

Over time after 8 hours

Bi-Weekly Pay

$75/pay for employee to purchase their own Blue Cross Benefits.

Apprentices preferred, journeyman welcome. All carpenters can apply but finishing experience considered an asset
