Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Position Summary:

The Rental & Retail Assistant Supervisor supports the Rental & Retail Department across multiple locations, including the Rental Shop, three Retail Stores, and Online operations. This role assists in day-to-day leadership, scheduling, training, staff supervision, and customer service. They serve as the acting supervisor when needed and are responsible for maintaining service standards, operational efficiency, and team morale throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision & Operations

Support scheduling, training, and daily supervision of Rental & Retail staff and Town Store Guest Service Agents
Enforce company policies, safety protocols (WHMIS, WCB), and workplace standards
Motivate and support team members; monitor mental and physical well-being
Conduct payroll reviews, support performance evaluations, and assist with shift planning
Delegate tasks and resolve staff or scheduling conflicts efficiently
Rental & Retail Shop Duties

Supervise equipment rentals: fitting, safety checks, calibration, and returns
Handle guest transactions: cash, credit, Escape Cards, season passes
Process inventory: receiving, unpacking, pricing, and merchandising
Maintain product knowledge to support sales and assist guests
Use RTP and Inntopia for sales, bookings, and troubleshooting
Maintain cleanliness and organization; support health and safety compliance
Assist in the Repair Shop with basic ski/snowboard servicing and repairs
Town Store & Guest Services

Book lessons, tours, and rentals; assist walk-in guests and respond to inquiries
Sell and process season passes, including applications and payment plans
Maintain stock of items including tickets, cleaning supplies, and stationary
Train staff on RTP system, retail sales, and guest services
Online Store Management

Manage product listings, availability, pricing, and descriptions using Aspenwear and RTP
Oversee order fulfillment, shipping, and returns
Respond to customer inquiries and troubleshoot issues
Collaborate with marketing on online promotions and seasonal campaigns
Maintain policy documentation (returns, shipping, privacy)
Sundog & Riding Stables Support

Provide detailed information about Sundog tours and Jasper Riding Stables activities
Book and coordinate trips, working with guides, vendors, and dispatch
Help set up the Riding Stables retail space: layout, signage, POS, and supplier relations
Source products aligned with the Stables brand and guest interests
Track inventory and analyze demand for retail expansion
Qualifications & Experience:

Post-secondary education in tourism, retail, or business (asset)
Supervisory, guest service, and cash handling experience
Knowledge of RTP, Excel, and retail or rental systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with ski/snowboard instruction, rentals, or repair (asset)
Business/finance experience and data entry proficiency (asset)
