What will be your daily pursuit?:
The role of Food & Beverage Manager is to lead the Food and Beverage (F&B) team within our Forest Park Hotel team. You'll supervise daily restaurant operations and monitor compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures. Manage day-to-day operations verifying that the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the guests on a daily basis. Maintains the operating budget, and verifies that standards and legal obligations are followed. Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.

What will you do in this job?:
Providing daily oversight to all F&B outlets within assigned JL property and support as needed at all other Pursuit properties
Become deeply ingrained in all day-to-day operations and logistics of the organization
Adhere to operational needs and meet financial objectives
Consistently delivering exceptional guest service
Reports to the Operations Manager and Director of Food Beverage Jasper
Translate vision and strategy into actions designed to grow the business.
Provide leadership and coaching that fosters an environment of problem solving, teamwork, accuracy, and improved business practices.
Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence.
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish and manage time.
Attract and retain superior talent, train, coach and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees.
Verifies that all team members/supervisors understand the brand specific philosophy.
Maintains the operating budget, and verifies that standards and legal obligations are followed.
Assist and train supervisors/Assistant Managers in understanding team members ever changing needs and expectations, and how to exceed them.
Celebrates and fosters decisions that result in successes as well as failures, adapt and learn from opportunities.
Run the business like your own, make solutions-based strategies to meet financial, team member and guests wishes.
Be a positive example for team members.
Develops specific goals and plan to prioritize, organize, and accomplish in a timely manner.
Anticipate key issues and informational needs and be prepared to discuss ongoing performance and functions that will enhance the performance of all food and beverage operations.
Participate in the forecasting and annual budgeting process and manage variable expenses to achieve financial metrics.
Manage monthly forecasts, inventories and operating costs for the various outlets to maximize revenue and minimize expense (Labour, COGS & Supplies & Misc.)
Prepare staff schedules and payroll submissions and gratuities for team members
Make employee and guest safety a cultural cornerstone to maintain our reputation as an industry leader and guest safety advocate.
Ability to manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
Assist the properties with efficient and comprehensive use of Pursuit’s Inventory Management System for accurate COGS reporting.
Collect, communicate and lead the efforts to know and understand our guests, guest trends, innovation, and product development.
Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service level; review feedback from guests through Guest Experience platforms and drive goals to increase scores.
Assist with planning and execution of functions and events, menu launches.
Work collaboratively and efficiently with multiple teams across Pursuit.

Maintain core standards, monitor quality and demonstrates knowledge of a brand specific service culture.
Respond to guests in a timely manner for guest service and departmental requests (in person and online).

Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork and passion for providing great service.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
3-5 years of leadership experience in food and beverage, as part of a hotel would be considered an asset
Experience with multi-outlet operations
Thrives in a fast paced and high energy work environment
Experience with best-in-class operating systems, training, staff development.
Experience with successfully managing operations in large, complex operations.
Expertise in building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization, particularly with operating teams, line supervisors, seasonal staff from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Able to create “followership” through modelling our core values and best practices.
Great communication via multiple forms to co-workers (telephone, written, verbal e-mail).
Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance with a roaster of 50-150 employees.
Performs hourly job function if necessary.
Extends professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times.
Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress report.
Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
Capable of inspiring teams to drive quality and performance within the organization.
Experience with financial management and creating strong employee and guest satisfaction.
Ideal candidate would have strong experience across a broad range of food and beverage activities, meetings/events and functions.
Wine knowledge, fine dining and financial acumen in a managerial position is an asset.
