What will you do in this job?:
Houseperson Attendants hold the key to creating a restful and relaxing stay for our guests. They have the essential role of making sure all public spaces and guest requests are handled and taken care of on a daily basis.
Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors of all public spaces
Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
Clean, disinfect and polish all public spaces and regularly high touch points
Make beds, change linen, and distribute clean towels and toiletries when necessary or on request
Fold towels and linen in the laundry department when necessary
Wash windows, walls and ceilings of all public spaces
Pick up debris and empty trash containers of surrounding facilities
Replenish amenities supplies upon request from guests
Report and store lost and found items
Ensure furniture in the public space is properly placed
Carrying of guest luggage up to 30kg on a daily rotating basis (summer months)
May talk with guests to provide basic information on facilities and the Jasper area
Training of new colleagues
May handle minor complaints, and refer to Supervisor as required
Stock linen closet and supplies area
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Communicate with guests; ability to read, write and speak English
Accept direction
Work with minimal supervision
Work well within a team
