The starting wage for this position is $17.50/hr - $19.50/hr, depending on experience.
What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Relief Security role is a combination of Security and Hotel Night Audit duties. This position will work closely with the Hotel Manager and Guest Services Manager and requires an individual who is self-motived, able to work on their own, and passionate in creating the best possible guest and staff experience possible. Work for this position is evening and overnight duties

What will you do in this job?:
Security Responsibilities

Performs site patrols at six hotel properties to check for any irregularities/damages/ incidents and inspect areas in front and back of house and well as exteriors of all sites for any issues.
Observe and report activities and prepare security logs and reports for electronical submission to hotel management team
Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to guests and visitors on the hotel properties
Assist the front desk & night audit staff with any issues requiring immediate action (noise complaints etc.).
Site patrols are required on foot & by vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
Ability to use computer systems
Completion of incident report documentation involving any slips, falls, or when protective services are called to the property (police, fire, ambulance)
Carry cell phone during shift and be available for phone calls from the front desk teams

Front Office Responsibilities

Assisting with the safety and comfort of our guests over the night-time hours (11pm-7am)
Perform night audit duties as directed by the hotel procedures
Perform Front Desk Agent duties
Read & Learn the Emergency Response Manual thoroughly
Assist with night security rounds of the hotel
Provide Hotel Manager and Guest Services Manager with report on unusual occurrences
Ensure office areas and lobby kept clean
Perform other related duties as directed by Supervisors
Assist with other related company duties outside of department
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (English)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Valid first aid certificate is an asset (we can provide training for this)
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Current and valid Alberta driver’s license is required
Alberta Security Service Worker License is required
