What will you do in this job?:
As Photo Agent you will expected to carry out all aspects of the photo department sales process including but not limited to:
Engaging customers and encouraging them to participate in the program
Taking photographs of the customers on the Athabasca Glacier
Transfer the photo data to photo shop
Enhance photos if needed and assist guests in purchase of same
Printing and constructing the souvenir photo and sleeve
Selling souvenir photographs, frames and any other merchandise in the retail store
Apply upselling and cross selling techniques to maximize the potential of staff incentives
Operate the point of sale system with accuracy and efficiency, the responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms
Data entry
Uphold our high standards of service, merchandising, and display
Keep the photo shop, sales area, floor and storage areas clean and organized
Communicate with co-workers and management, forward observations and comments in a timely fashion
Collect feedback forms from customers, answering the phone, facilitating efficient inventory management and movement
Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Must be excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
Self-motivated, outgoing and possess a willingness to learn
Computer knowledge
Basic Photography skills
Previous guest service and cash handling experience an asset
Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
Speaks second language, an asset
Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
Enjoy working with a diverse team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards

Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods in an outdoor environment. Be prepared for all types of weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail) at all times. The weather changes quickly at the Columbia Icefield.

This fun, summer job runs from April 21 or June 9 to September 6 or October 10, 2022.

Independent. You’ll spend your days in and around national parks.
Remote. Our home is filled with trees, lakes and blue-bird skies; rather than buildings, freeways and smog. Connect with friends around a bonfire instead of through WiFi
Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
