The Evergreens Foundation is a not-for-profit housing management body proudly supporting independent housing in Alberta.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a compassionate, people oriented permanent part-time Porter based at our beautiful Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge in Jasper. We invite you to join a welcoming, respectful team environment where everyone is committed to helping each other feel valued and appreciated. The evening porter works a shift rotation of four (4) on and four (4) off.

Reporting to the Lodge Administrator, the Porter will be responsible for:

Clean and maintain designated areas in accordance with procedures and hygiene requirements.
Maintain a clean safe environment.
Actively participate in health and safety initiatives.
Protect the health and safety of you and others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism.
Assist team members with their duties to improve operational efficiencies.
Attend staff meetings and training when required.
Assist with resident social functions when necessary.

Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
Demonstrated time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, visitors and fellow employees.
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times.
