Job Title: Summer Operations Assistant
Reports To: Guest Services Manager
Position Overview
The Assistant provides summertime operational assistance across several areas of the Company: including but not limited to the Town Store, Jasper Riding Stables, and Guest Services operations. The employee reports directly to the Guest Services Manager but may report to another Supervisor during their tasks.
This role supports daily guest interactions, retail sales, bookings for tours and activities, and general operational organization. The position also assists with systems maintenance, inventory coordination, documentation, and administrative coverage as required to ensure smooth operations across departments.
This is a full-time seasonal role, with hours varying based on operational needs and seasonal activity. The contract typically runs mid-May thru mid-October.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Services
Provide friendly, professional service to guests in person, by phone, and by email
Answer questions about products, tours, trail rides, activities, and the local area
Assist guests with bookings and reservations using reservation systems
Check in guests and communicate booking information to operational staff
Retail Operations
Assist guests with purchases in the Town Store and other retail locations
Process transactions using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, debit, and credit payments
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment
Restock merchandise and support inventory tracking
Assist with merchandising and retail display organization
Operational & Administrative Support
Support coordination of bookings, activities, and daily operations
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and booking information
Assist with POS and reservation system updates or troubleshooting
Support inventory tracking for merchandise and operational materials
Assist with seasonal preparation, documentation, and operational projects in any department requiring assistance
Assist other Company departments in task and project completion as required
Provide administrative and office coverage as required
Team Support
Work collaboratively with team members across Guest Services, Retail, Riding Stables, and Administration, as well as other departments as required
Communicate operational issues, guest concerns, or inventory needs to supervisors
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and service standards
Qualifications
Experience in guest services, retail, tourism, and administrative support preferred
Experience with POS or reservation systems such as RTP considered an asset
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
Motivated while working alone to complete projects and get ahead
Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
