JOB SUMMARY:

As a team our goal is to create unforgettable, picture-perfect experiences for our guests. Your role in that goal is very important! As a breakfast server at the Jasper Inn & Suites your main objective is to provide quality service to each person while they are on site. We want our guests to leave remembering what a positive experience you helped create for them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with setting up the breakfast buffet, including food displays, signage, and service stations
Ensure buffet is fully stocked, clean, and visually appealing throughout service
Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperature, replenishing items as needed
Serve coffee, tea, juice, and other beverages
Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a smooth flow of service
Assist guests with special dietary needs or requests when possible
Maintain cleanliness of the work areas and equipment in front and back areas of our restaurant and banquet facilities according to resort standards
Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements such as detailed menu selections, ingredients, prices, station assignment and table settings
Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures
Check cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
Greet guests as they arrive and assist them with seating when necessary
Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
Maintain positive guest relations at all times
Be familiar with all resort services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction in conjunction with the Supervisor and/or Manager
Complete opening, closing and cleaning side duties as assigned
Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures
Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:

You are a team player who is excited to create a great experience for the guests! You are positive, driven and have a ‘glass half full’ outlook on life. Your other traits include:

One year of previous serving experience
A passion for customer service and a strong attention to detail
Energetic, flexible, reliable, respectful, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly and pleasant demeanour, courteous, self-motivated, and professional
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team
