DETAILS:

Located in Lake Louise
Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants
Full-time position, average of 35-40 hours per week
First 90 days: $22.06 per hour
After 90 days: $24.56 per hour
SUMMARY:

The Chef de Partie is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. The CDP must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively while motivating the team and working under the direction of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and execute buffet, functions, staff cafeteria meals and monthly specials
Manage and direct food preparation in the kitchen in absence of Chef/Sous Chef
Provide direction to Line Cooks and Stewards
Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
Restock all items as needed throughout shift while labelling/dating all items
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
Understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment without supervision, independently and as a member of a team
Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including sweeping of the floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures
Opening and closing duties
Cleaning, stocking and serving staff cafeteria
Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times
Train new Team Members
Perform other related duties as required by the Executive Chef
QUALIFICATIONS:

2-3 years of previous fast paced line cook experience required
CDP experience preferred (1-2 years)
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Must be able to complete multiple flights of stairs per shift carrying supplies
Highly organized and detail oriented
Energetic, flexible, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Manual dexterity required to use knives and kitchen appliances
